The Administration Division includes the County Public Works Director and provides direction and support to all divisions.
The Engineering and Construction Division provides transportation engineering services for the Department
The Douglas County Fleet Services Department is responsible for the maintenance, repairs, purchase, and disposal of approximately 1150 vehicles and equipment operated by Douglas County Departments.
The County’s program has evolved into one of the leading local resource management programs in the state and nation. In 1996 the Water Resources Survey was renamed the Natural Resources Division under the Public Works Department.
The Operations and Maintenance Division is responsible for operating and maintaining the County road system, the County landfill, and 11 solid waste transfer stations.
The Work Crew Division is responsible for parole and probation work crew operations and solid waste transfer station attendants.
